We refer to the polar ice cap biome as the regions of the planet covered by ice most of. Garbage, waste, and pollution are significant problems for many tourism operations, especially as decomposition is slow and waste remains visible atop the permafrost in many Arctic areas. People simply could have walked between Asia and North America following the Pacific coast. At one point, their total population was reduced to a few thousand. We had wonderful sightings of polar bear, reindeer, walruses, an arctic fox, harp seals, bearded seals, humpback whales, many sea birds and arctic flowers. “The Circumnavigation of Spitsbergen in July was a superb experience, way above expectations and worth every one of the pounds that I spent on it.
